Taint / Tabor

Taint / Tabor is the ISRI designation for clean mixed-alloy old aluminium sheet, material recovered from dismantled buildings, signage, siding and light structures. It is a mixed-alloy stream, so it is priced below single-alloy extrusion scrap and feeds secondary casting alloys and not wrought products. The specification is written as an exclusion list: no foil, venetian blinds, castings, hair wire, screen wire, beverage containers, radiator shells, airplane sheet, bottle caps, plastic or dirt, and oil and grease together no more than 1%. We sort and consolidate to specification before shipment so the receiving furnace gets predictable yield.
